The glass forms for the stage installation of Different Trains at
the Jewish Theatre
in Stockholm
were made at Kavalier Glass Works
south of Prague in the Czech Republic.
After experimenting with
the
blowers and the special borosilica glass, we made all the 90 pieces
during two sessions in the
fall of 2007 and spring 2008.
The skill of these glass blowers was very impressive as was the
ability
of handling large quantities of very hot glass (1100°C).
It was an experience I will not forget!
